Jesse Chang, Board Member

Jesse Chang is an attorney with over 24 years of experience in advising clients on direct investments in China. He is the Managing Partner of TransAsia Lawyers and has overall responsibility for its international client base. Specializing in market entry structures, joint ventures, and mergers & acquisitions, he is known and respected for his strategic thinking, negotiating skills and ability to advise effectively on delicate and complex matters such as shareholder selection, partner disputes and hostile takeovers. Clients whom he has represented in China include Amazon.com, BAE Systems, Dow Jones, Philip Morris, CNBC, CSR, GE, News Corporation, Starbucks, Time Warner and Tyco International. Mr. Chang is a graduate of the Australian National University (B.Ec. and LL.B) and the Columbia University School of Law (LL.M). An expert on international business law, Mr. Chang has written an extensive range of publications on various China legal topics. Jesse was voted by Asia Law & Practice as one of the Leading China Lawyers in 2002 and in 2004.
