FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the Sethi International Center for Corporate Accountability?
A new not-for-profit organization founded to monitor corporate ethics worldwide. It counsels multinationals on creating, implementing and monitoring their codes of conduct, with a focus on workers' wages, working and living conditions and employee access to management, human rights and sustainable development. It has been created in response to a global need for codes of conduct that will hold major corporations accountable for the human rights and environmental abuses they incur.

How is the organization supported?
Based in an academic setting (at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, City University of New York), SICCA operates completely on a not-for-profit basis and has adopted strict conflict-of-interest standards to ensure that audits and research are not supported by the corporate interests which are the organization's focus.

Who is involved in SICCA?
A distinguished roster of economists, experts in business ethics, lawyers with particular expertise in international and labor law, and many of the top minds in corporate governance are on SICCA's board, which is international in its representation and reach. We have associates in Asia as well as North America, and the scope of our work is global.
